How to speed up Windows 7

If your like me and prefer speed over animations and glowing windows then you can turn this all off. This massivly improves the systems speed. This is even more true when using Windows 7 with older desktops and laptops. Fortunatly its very easy to disable most of the UI enhancments that Windows 7 offers by following the process detailed below.

First you need to click start and right click "Computer", then select properties as show in the screenshot below.

From the system properties menu you need to click "Advanced System Settings" from the left hand panel. This will launch a small dialogue with a set of tabs. At this point you should see the dialgue below...

you will notice a button on the "Advanced" tab in the "Performance" group called "Settings", click this button to view the performance settings dialogue as shown below.

By default this should be set to "Let Windows Decide what's best for my Computer", from here just select the "Adjust for best performance" radio button and click "Ok". The settings will then be applied to the computer after a short pause. You will see that Windows 7 looks very different with all of the eye candy turned off but the system will be much faster when under higher loads.

Tip(s) of the week

HYPOTHETICAL: Ok so you're doing a school work. If you, by any chance, just forgot to do it, and ask a friend to send the work (a power point, a word document, whatever...) so you can modify it in order to SEEM like you did it, it will be a BAD idea to hand over the assignment to your teacher via e-mail or flash drive.

And this is why:

The document your friend gave you contains his pc's information, and normaly it has the users family name, so its quite easy to figure out if you did or didn't do the work by yourself.
This can be re-writen, but if you have the time to modify your friends work and re-write the documents information, then you've got time to do your own job.

To change your documents information on word just follow the image (same for power point, excel, ...), if your program is not one of these just look for a way, it's not impossible... or hard... or easy... it's basic.

1) Pause the video at 0:00
2) Press the right arrow key until the bar reaches the end.
3) Release the right arrow key and quickly press the up arrow key.
4) Have fun playing snake on a youtube video! =)


TURN YOUTUBE VIDEOS TO MP3

1) Choose with video to download.
2) Open http://www.vidtomp3.com/ on another page.
3) Copy the URL link of the youtube video and paste it on the conveerter's page.
4) Click download.
5) Watch your video being converted, then click download again.
6) Listen to your MP3 =D
